In July 2000, four
members from Mifsud Brothers Ltd, who
are established Port Agents and Shore
Excursion Operators in Malta for various
prestigious cruise lines, paid a visit
to this most interesting country. After
substantial groundwork, which included
holding meetings with several destination
management companies, a local agency was
finally selected - one with whom to develop
and operate quality shore excursions for
cruise lines. Libya Cruise Services launched
its services in 2001 at Miami Seatrade
and made its first breakthrough there.
Since
2001, shore excursions for over 30 cruise
calls have been operated in four different
ports as well as several site inspections
organized, making us the most experienced
ground operator in Libya. A reference list

Libya
Cruise Services is currently the only ground
operator in Libya to have 3rd Party Tour
Operator insurance (2 million Euros), which
is underwritten by Middlesea Insurance p.l.c,
Malta whose re-insurers are Munich Re (one
of the largest European re-insurers Rated
AA by Standard & Poor). A copy of the
insurance policy is available on request.
The
coaches used are air-conditioned and the
most modern available in Libya. The Guides
are selected according to their area of
expertise and language fluency.
